On invitation of the Shigeko Kubota Art Foundation, Colorvac held
a presentation in Nam June Paik and Shigeko Kubotas' personal
art atelier in the Mercer Street in Manhatten, New York.
Christian Draheim presented his work and ideas in the topic of video art restoration.


Conservators of the MoMa, Guggenheim and Whitney Museum as well as Paik intimates attented the speech.
His presentation showed insight in Colorvacs' work in video art restoration and the mandatory steps for future conservation.
The discussion afterwards led to a agreement of the indispenseability of the CRT screen.
Paik was a fan of the CRT and showed it in his works.
Being always fascinated by technology, you can find many hommages to the picture tube in his works.
Nam June Paik experimented with the technics behind the CRT TV and used them for his art.
